PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Aware of the challenges of the increasing water demand, the growing vulnerability of hydro systems and the need to strengthen water security in the long term, Tunisia is planning to develop a vision and a strategy for managing the water sector up to 2050, based on a prospective, strategic approach allowing long-term visibility and action plans. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to socio-economic development by securing the availability and access to water resources for Tunisia by 2050, in an efficient, equitable and sustainable manner, following an integrated water resources management approach.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
- Phase 1 : Existing Data Collection and preliminary analysis
- Phase 2 : Inventory of the water sector and development of basic guidelines
- Phase 3 : Multi-thematic prospective studies
- Phase 4 : Development of the water sector vision and strategy up to 2050
- Phase 5 : Development of detailed short, medium and long term action plans
