PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project is part of the initiative taken by the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to launch strategic reflections on spatial planning, through the development of a National Spatial Planning Policy (PNAT) and a Framework Law on Spatial Planning (LAT). This legal arsenal supports the study for the development of a national Land Use planning scheme and methodological guides for the design of provincial and local Land Use plans.

National Land Use Planning Policy (PNAT)

  • Phase 1: Preliminary phase
  • Phase 2: Diagnosis and strategic orientations
  • Phase 3: Drafting of the PNAT

Draft Framework law on Land Use Planning (LAT)

  • Phase 4: Diagnosis and guidelines for the LAT
  • Phase 5: Writing the LAT
