Market analysis and feasibility study for the deployment of alternative propulsion solutions in the railway sector in Tunisia

The project aims to implement new solutions for motorization and local energy production, in particular through the use of solar and wind energy. It is a support tool of the Tunisian National Railway Company (SNCFT) in drawing up a roadmap and a decision-making tool for the deployment of an alternative motorization solution to diesel, and the implementation of recharging and refueling infrastructures for railway rolling stock.

• Phase 1 : Design of railway case studies
• Phase 2 : Proposal of business models underlying the case studies
• Phase 3 : Technical, economic and environmental feasibility studies for the deployment of alternative propulsion solutions on three pilot projects.
