PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The study aims to strategically analyze the overall demand and development potential of a rail-road corridor between Dakar – N’djamena (TAH 5) and N’djamena – Djibouti (TAH 6) and to propose recommendations on the implementation of the most appropriate development option in terms of route, technical standards and organization.
It is in line with the implementation of African projects considered to be integrative, and aims to support innovative approaches to mobilize the necessary resources for infrastructure development along regional corridors, facilitate intra-African trade and open up hinterland regions.

- Economy of the ten countries crossed by the corridor and development prospects
- Study of transport supply and demand on the corridor
- Critical analysis of current road standards in the ten countries crossed by TAH 5 and 6
- Search for least constrained route corridors and identification of the best corridor
- Technical analysis of the corridor with the least constraints
- Economic evaluation
- Risk assessment
- Drafting of the terms of reference for subsequent steps
