PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) covers an area of 10,000 ha (5,000 ha on the right bank and 5,000 ha on the left bank) located in the districts of Lagdo and Tcheboa, Benue Department, North Region of Cameroon. The populations currently exploiting these lands (around 3,000 farmers, 2 ha average area exploited) live in a dozen villages.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
- Census of Project-Affected Populations (PAP) and inventory of affected assets
- Establishment of eligibility criteria, estimation of losses and their compensation
- Recommendation of resettlement measures, site selection and preparation
- Public consultations, stakeholder engagement and community participation
- Establishment of appeal procedures and the complaint management mechanism, organizational responsibilities for implementing the Resettlement Action Plan, development of the implementation schedule and estimation of the (RAP)’s costs
- Definition of the RAP’s monitoring and evaluation framework
