PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In line with the Government’s strategic guidelines to encourage the private sector to play a leading role in the development effort, the Ministry of Agriculture, Hydraulic Resources and Fishery plans to call on a qualified private promoter or group of promoters to finance, build and operate a seawater desalination plant in Zarat with a capacity of 50. 000 m3/day, in the form of a concession, to meet the future water needs of Gabes and Medenine provinces.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
- Identification and analysis of potential sites for the desalination plant and multi-criteria site selection process based on a techno-economic study
- Technical characterization of the project and its economic analysis
- Study of the implementation of the project via concession
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
- Preparation of bidding documents and tender documents
- Prequalification Assistance
- Assistance in selecting the concessionaire and contracts finalization
