PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The aim is to set up a network of sustainable cities by drawing up a list of criteria for sustainable management of the urban environment and a “charter of communes” specification involving communes fully committed to sustainable development. The study will help guide Ministry’s investments and external aid towards financing the “sustainability of cities”.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
- Drawing up a list of criteria relevant to urban management
- Design and conduct of the survey of all Tunisian cities (264 communes)
- Formulation of a baseline criteria for monitoring sustainability in Tunisian cities
- Identification of an initial list of cities forming of the network’s launch
- Definition of the network’s organizational framework
- Identification of potential incentives for network cities
