PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The deep-water port of Kribi, by facilitating the large-scale export of products frommining operations (Iron, Bauxite, Natural Gas, etc.) and the import of raw materials for local industries, will serve as a significant catalyst for the industrialization of Cameroon and the competitiveness of its products. The master plan for developments south of Kribi includes port, industrial and urban facilities spread across the sites of Kribi, Grand Batanga, Mboro and Lolabe, forming what is known as the Kribi Port Complex. The planned industrial zone covers an area of 3,000 hectares. The studies concern the creation of this zone, including the development of road, energy and telecommunications infrastructures necessary for the layout of a true pole of economic and social development for Cameroon and the sub-region.
