The formulation of the Cocoa, Coffee, Cashew and Pepper Value Chain Development Project (PD-CV3CP) in the ten (10) regions of Cameroon mandated to the IDEACONSULT International/ STUDI Cameroon consortium is part of the implementation of the Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (PDCVA) piloted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER).
The Overall Objective:
The overall objective of the project (PD-CV3CP) is to increase the added value of the above-mentioned value chains by creating shared wealth and jobs, supporting stakeholders in production, processing (industrial, semi-industrial and artisanal), infrastructure and seeking marketing outlets.
Specifically, the aim is to:
- Improve the productivity and competitiveness of value chains;
- Support and facilitate access to infrastructure, equipment and tools for value chain development;
- Promote local processing in the production basins of targeted value chains;
- Promote the development of women’s and youth businesses;
- Facilitate access to credit;
- Promote the development of basic socio-economic infrastructures (roads, water supply, electricity grid and solar energy, storage warehouses, etc.);
- Support the structuring and professionalization of players in targeted sectors.
Scope of services:
- Phase 1: Kick-off and methdology refinement
- Phase 2: Value chain analyses of targeted value chains, inter-regional workshops to identify and validate support needs, and progress report
- Phase 3: National workshop and final PD-CV3CP’s project document
